About Eugene Marlow, Ph.D Eugene Marlow, Ph.D., is a practicing media professional with more than 36 years of extensive experience in the use of print and electronic venues for internal and external organizational communications, including corporate communications, public relations, advertising, and marketing. He is also an experienced producer and performer with credentials in music, dance, and drama. An honors graduate of the High School for Performing Arts (drama), Marlow served for a time as stage manager with two ballet companies and off-Broadway theatre. He is also a composer/arranger of jazz/classical works, a jazz pianist and ensemble leader, and CD producer. Marlow has composed over 180 jazz/classical works for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, and big band. One of his charts appears on Bobby Sanabria’s 2007 Grammy-nominated album “Big Band Urban Folktales” (JazzHeads). Several of Marlow's CDs have aired worldwide. He is senior co-chair of the Milt Hinton Jazz Perspectives Concert Series at Baruch College (The City University of New York) where he teaches a panoply of courses in media, culture, and business communications. He is also Director/Media Relations, for the New York Composers Circle. Dr. Marlow has authored eight books dealing with communications, technology and culture and more than 100 articles and chapters in professional and academic journals published in the United States, Germany, Greece, Japan, China and Russia. A regular contributor to www.jazz.com, Marlow is currently drafting a book on jazz in China. About Jan Sileo, M.B.A. Jan Sileo, M.B.A., is a marketing and media communications professional with over 15 years of experience in media and public relations, print and electronic media production, live events, community outreach, and marketing research.
